Who Is Dr. Alexandre Sanfurgo?

Dr. Alexandre Sanfurgo is a plastic surgeon based in São Paulo, Brazil, whose work focuses on body contouring and robotic abdominal wall surgery. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

He earned his medical degree from Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes, completed general surgery residency in Santos, and trained in plastic surgery under Dr. Ewaldo Bolivar de Souza Pinto and Dr. Osvaldo Saldanha.

He developed MIRELA®—Minimally Invasive Robotic Endoscopic Lipoabdominoplasty—an approach that combines robotic repair of abdominal muscle separation with aesthetic contouring. His clinical research on the technique has appeared in international peer-reviewed journals.
