Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern registration for and attendance at the Beverly Hills Body Academy course ("BHBA," the "Course," "we," "us," or "our"), scheduled for November 20–22, 2026 at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, and use of our website. By registering for the Course, purchasing a pass, or attending any BHBA program or related activity, you ("you," the "attendee," or the "registrant") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not register or attend.
1. Eligibility & Registration
The Course is a professional medical education program intended for licensed physicians, surgeons, and other qualified healthcare professionals. We may require verification of licensure, credentials, or professional status before or after registration and may decline or cancel any registration that does not meet eligibility requirements (with a refund of registration fees in that case). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. Registrations are personal to the named attendee and may not be resold. Seats are limited and are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
2. Payment
All fees are stated and payable in U.S. dollars. Payment in full is required to secure your seat. Prices, pass tiers, and inclusions are subject to change until your registration is confirmed. You are responsible for any bank, currency-conversion, or card-processing charges imposed by your financial institution. Discount or promotional codes cannot be applied retroactively or combined unless expressly stated.
3. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to drhoyos@beverlyhillsbodyacademy.com. The date of receipt of the written request determines the applicable refund tier:
- More than 90 days before the Course: Full refund, less processing fees.
- 60–90 days before the Course: 50% refund.
- Fewer than 60 days before the Course: Nonrefundable.
Approved refunds are issued to the original method of payment within thirty (30) days of approval. Failure to attend ("no-show") is treated as a cancellation with fewer than 60 days' notice and is nonrefundable.
4. Transfers & Substitutions
Registrations may be transferred to another qualified attendee with written notice to us prior to the Course, subject to the substitute attendee meeting the eligibility requirements in Section 1 and completing any required documentation. Any difference in pass pricing must be settled at the time of transfer.
5. Postponement, Cancellation by Organizers & Force Majeure
If the Course is postponed, your registration will automatically transfer to the rescheduled date. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you may transfer your registration to a qualified attendee under Section 4.
If the organizers cancel the Course, registration fees will be refunded; however, travel, lodging, and any other costs incurred by you will not be reimbursed.
If the Course is affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including, without limitation, acts of God, fire, flood, earthquake, epidemic or pandemic, government action or travel restriction, labor dispute, terrorism, civil unrest, venue unavailability, or utility or transportation failure ("Force Majeure") — we may postpone the Course, transfer your registration, or issue a course credit for a future BHBA program in lieu of a cash refund. We are not liable for any losses arising from Force Majeure.
6. Program Changes
The agenda, faculty, speakers, session times, format, and venue are subject to change without notice. Substitution of faculty or modification of the program does not entitle you to a refund. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to registered attendees.
7. Professional Education Disclaimer — No Medical Advice
The Course, including lectures, live surgery observation, cadaver labs, demonstrations, and course materials, is provided for professional educational purposes only. Nothing presented constitutes medical advice, a standard of care, or a directive for the treatment of any particular patient. Attendance at or completion of the Course does not constitute certification, credentialing, licensure, or a determination of competence in any technique, including HD liposuction, S-Curve® body contouring, or rib remodeling. You are solely responsible for exercising your own independent professional judgment, for practicing within your licensure, training, and scope of practice, and for compliance with the laws, regulations, and credentialing requirements applicable to you. Techniques observed at the Course may require additional training, proctoring, or privileging before clinical use.
8. Cadaver Lab & Hands-On Training
Portions of the Course include a cadaver laboratory and hands-on training involving donor tissue, surgical instruments, energy devices, and biological materials. By participating you agree to: (a) follow all biosafety, laboratory, and facility rules and all instructions of faculty and staff; (b) wear required personal protective equipment at all times; (c) treat donor tissue with dignity and respect; (d) refrain from photography, video, or audio recording in the lab; and (e) immediately report any injury, sharps incident, or exposure to staff. You represent that you are medically able to participate. We may remove any participant who violates lab rules or behaves unsafely or unprofessionally, without refund.
9. Assumption of Risk & Release
You acknowledge that participation in the Course — including the cadaver lab, hands-on sessions, and attendance at a live event — carries inherent risks, including exposure to biological materials, use of sharp instruments and medical devices, communicable illness, and risks associated with travel and event attendance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily assume all such risks and release, waive, and discharge BHBA, its organizers, course directors, faculty, sponsors, agents, contractors, and the venue from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to your participation in the Course, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. We may require execution of a separate waiver and release as a condition of lab participation.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of BHBA and its organizers, faculty, and affiliates for any claim arising out of or relating to the Course or these Terms shall not exceed the registration fees actually paid by you. In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or travel and lodging costs, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case these limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BHBA, its organizers, course directors, faculty, sponsors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your negligence or misconduct, your unauthorized use of course materials or recordings, or your clinical application of techniques presented at the Course.
12. Photography, Recording & Media Release
The Course may be photographed, filmed, and recorded by us or our designees. By attending, you grant BHBA a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your name, image, likeness, and voice in event documentation, education, and marketing materials, without compensation. If you do not wish to appear in marketing materials, notify us in writing before the Course and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate. Unauthorized photography, filming, streaming, or audio recording of lectures, live surgery, or the cadaver lab is strictly prohibited.
13. Intellectual Property & Course Materials
All course materials, presentations, syllabi, videos, and content — including trademarks such as S-Curve® and proprietary methods presented by faculty — are and remain the property of their respective owners. Materials are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial educational use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, create derivative works from, or use any course content or marks for commercial or promotional purposes without prior written consent.
14. Confidentiality & Patient Privacy
Live surgery sessions may involve real patients who have consented to educational observation only. You agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding any patient or donor information observed at the Course, to make no recordings or images of patients or donor tissue, and to comply with all applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA where applicable.
15. Code of Conduct
We are committed to a professional, safe, and harassment-free environment. Harassment, discrimination, disruptive behavior, intoxication, solicitation without authorization, or violation of venue or lab rules may result in removal from the Course without refund and exclusion from future BHBA events.
16. Health & Safety
You agree to comply with all health and safety requirements in effect at the time of the Course, whether imposed by us, the venue, or public authorities. Do not attend in person if you are subject to a quarantine or isolation order.
17. Travel, Lodging & Insurance
Travel and lodging are your sole responsibility. We recommend refundable bookings and personal travel insurance. BHBA is not responsible for travel disruption, visa denial, or hotel costs under any circumstances, including cancellation or postponement of the Course. A negotiated room block, if any, is subject to the hotel's own terms.
18. Sponsors & Third Parties
Sponsorship or exhibition by any company does not constitute an endorsement by BHBA or its faculty of that company's products or services. Your dealings with sponsors or exhibitors are solely between you and them.
19. Privacy
Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, available on this website.
20. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Course shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. To the extent permitted by law, each party waives any right to a jury trial and agrees that claims may be brought only in an individual capacity and not as part of a class or representative action.
21. General
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with your registration confirmation and any required waivers, constitute the entire agreement between you and BHBA regarding the Course. We may update these Terms from time to time; the version posted on this page at the time of your registration applies to that registration, and material changes will be communicated to registered attendees.
